Metro Area Advanced Practice Healthcare is a gynecology practice focused on the well-being of the whole person — with an emphasis on harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and the Health At Every Size (HAES) philosophy.
Robin Tucker (they/she)
DNP, MPH, CNM, WHNP-BC, FACNM
Robin is passionate about care of the whole person and practices a harm reduction philosophy. They specialize in sexual and reproductive health care, trauma-informed care, queer and gender-affirming care, contraceptive methods, and pain management for gynecology procedures.
They operate from a core belief of informed consent, empowerment, and autonomy with all decisions, large and small.
Robin worked in information technology for ten years before changing careers to work in healthcare. They earned their Associate of Applied Science in Nursing from NVCC and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from George Mason, then completed their Master of Science in Nurse-Midwifery and Women's Health from Frontier Nursing University. They finished with Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Public Health degrees from Johns Hopkins University.
With over 15 years of nursing experience across ICU medicine and reproductive health, Robin brings deep clinical expertise to every patient interaction. They also educate the next generation of nurses and train other providers at lectures and presentations.
